NotepadXtension 1.03

Introduction

Welcome to NotepadXtension(TM), a collection of nine powerful extensions which install directly into your Notepad. NotepadXtensions make entering important information easy and intuitive.

The NotepadXtension collection includes the following intelligent forms:

Voice Mail (messageX.pkg 15k)
This smart form facilitates brisk entry of voice mail messages. When you enter a
name in the smart name field, the receptive phone numbers are automatically
found and displayed. If the name entered is not on record, that person
can be added to your names database with the tap of a button. 

Meeting Notes (meetingX.pkg 13k)
This smart form is perfect for jotting down and retrieving meeting notes. You are able
to quickly recall meeting items and share your notes with your associates.

News Clip (articleX.pkg 13k)
With this smart form, you can enter bits of information that you read in magazines,
newspapers, and trade references. You can print, e-mail, or fax this information to
clients and associates. Information can be quickly retrieved by using the "Find" command. Over a period of time, a comprehensive knowledgebase is built.

TV Note (teleX.pkg 13k)
Using this smart form, important information you see  on television can be
quickly noted. Upcoming television programs can be added to the Calendar and ToDo
list applications.

Flight Info (flightX.pkg 13k)
This smart form facilitates accurate entry of airline flight information. By remembering the names of the most frequently used airlines, this form makes short order of recording flight vital information. Upcoming flights can be added to the Calendar with the tap of a button.

Car Rental Info (autoX.pkg 13k)
Scheduling rental cars is made easy with this NotepadXtension. This form will
remember the names of the most frequently used car rental agencies, add rental dates to the calendar program, and remind you about upcoming rentals.

Hotel Info (hotelX.pkg 13k)
Like the Flight and Car Rental Info extensions, this form will remember the names of the most frequently used hotels, add the reservation to the Calendar program, and remind you about upcoming hotel reservations.

Internet Site (netX.pkg 12k)
Trying to remember where you have been in Cyberspace is made easy with this smart form. Internet addresses along with a summary of their content can be briskly added with this form. Print, e-mail, or fax this information to friends,
clients, and associates.

New Idea (ideaX.pkg 12k)
This smart form will help add organization to new ideas. Thoughts can be summarized
and action items can be added to the ToDo list application. Recorded ideas can be quickly retrieved by using the "Find" command.

Installation

NotepadXtension requires Newton(R) 2.0.

See your MessagePad manual for instructions on how to install software on your Newton.

We recommend that you install the NotepadXtensions in the internal memory of your MessagePad. If you have a memory card, go to the card icon found in the Extras Drawer and make sure the "Save new info and packages on this card" option is NOT checked. Do this BEFORE installing the extensions.

The NotepadXtension packages are placed in the "Extensions" folder of your Extras Drawer. Each extension will install itself in the Notepad and can be access via the Notepad's "New" button.


IMPORTANT DEMO NOTES

The NotepadXtension demo will work for 10 days. On the 10th day,  any installed extensions will remove itself from your Newton. ALL INFORMATION ENTERED WITH ANY NOTEPADXTENSION WILL BE DISABLED AND NOT VIEWABLE. YOU MUST PURCHASE NOTEPADXTENSION IN ORDER TO VIEW THIS  INFORMATION.

On the 9th day of your demo period, you will be given a reminder regarding your NotepadXtensions trial.

If you remove NotepadXtensions BEFORE your 10 trial is over, you will still be given messages regarding NotepadXtension on the 9th day. After you see the message(s) they are removed from your Newton's memory.

Using NotepadXtensions

Once you have installed the desired extensions, you can access them by tapping on the "New" button of the Notepad. You will see a list of available extensions. Tap the extension you wish to use.
